Shoes, Walkers & a Lot More - 1.888.738.7929
If you are on Medicare and have diabetes there is a benefit that may entitle you to a new pair of shoes once a year at little or no cost to you.
A common side effect of diabetes is "peripheral neuropathy," which causes loss of sensation in the extremities. Ill-fitting shoes, which rub or pinch the feet, can lead to ulceration and foot injury, simply because people with diabetes do not feel the injury until it is too late. Properly fitted diabetic shoes are very important in preventing such injuries.
