Diabetes educators are healthcare professionals—nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, exercise physiologists, and others—who help people with diabetes develop the skills and acquire the knowledge to manage their disease. Many diabetes educators have earned the credential of Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) through the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators.
